MIDWESTERN HOUSEWIVES PREDICT NEXT PRESIDENT USING BAKED GOODS, CINDY MCCAIN PLAGIARIZES (AGAIN)

By Lark

Family Circle magazine’s potential future First Lady recipe-off is underway and it’s intense! While the cookie vote is often overlooked, it has, in the past four presidential elections, predicted who would win, with readers favoring the next First Lady’s treats over their competitors.

Michelle Obama has offered up her shortbread cookies with zest of lemon and orange, and a “cheeky kick of almond liqueur Amaretto.”

Cindy McCain, a known recipe plagiarizer, has submitted her oatmeal butterscotch cookies. And SURPRISE!!! It’s a Hershey’s recipe!

So far Cindy is in the lead. Can you say CHEATER!?!?! Meaningful Distraction called Cindy’s people but have not heard anything back yet. We’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, click here and vote for Michelle!

  1. The Candidate’s Wives | A South Dakota Moderate Says:

[...] that could wreck her husband’s campaign. According to the blog Meaningful Distraction, she lifted someone’s recipe and had it published as her own in a Family Circle Magazine recipe contest against Michelle Obama. [...]

  2. dmhlt Says:

I think Cindy would have been much better served, and not so bitter, if she had followed the advice of Better Botter and bought some better butter:

Betty Botter bought some butter, but she said, “This butter’s bitter. If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter will make my batter better!”

So she bought some better butter, better than the bitter butter, and she put it in her batter. And her batter was not bitter!

So ’twas better Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter.

Did Laura Bush ever do anything publicly homemaker-y? Did Hillary?

Whassup with holding Michelle and Cindy to a new higher standard for First Ladies?

If I want cookies, I’ll bake ‘em myself or buy them from some GOP-donatin’, sugar-injectin’, child-obesity raisin’, diabetes-inducin’ mega-bakery blacklisted at buyblue.com.

Who cares which candidate’s wife bakes better cookies?

That said, Cindy is a copyright violating machine. Bad wife-of-candidate. No biscuit.
