What would you do for tickets to the SATC premier? MainStreet.com found a bunch scalpers on Craigslist pawning them off or trying to purchase them for a ridiculous price.
Check it out:

Offering: $800
Buyer Says: “Am desperately [sic] trying to get tickets to this. My girlfriend is dying to go to this, and I want to make it happen. Willing to pay more if needed.”

Offering: $500
Buyer Says: “I’m looking for Sex and the Citypremier [sic] movie tickets. Im willing to pay top dollar, I wan’t to get them for my girlfriend as a bday gift!”
Alright: First off, guys who want to get them as gifts for your girlfriend, you are amazing. Secondly, don;t waste your money. I am willing to bet my first born child that these tickets are NOT real.
Here’s the situation: People invited to premiers are: those who provided mega-bucks for the films production, celebrities, top publicists involved in some way top the film, close friends or family of someone high up like the Director, journalists and in this case possibly high-profile NY officials like Guilliani and high-profile people in the fashion industry like designers or Anna Wintour. It’s not a public event that you can buy tickets to and none of the people who would get an invite would sell theirs. It would a) be unethical and b) a lot of times these tickets have numbers on them and you will get caught if you give them away.
I’m sorry. But I am sure the movie will be as good in another theater at another time.
