Fucking A-Some videos just don;t work on here. Click here and watch this morning NKOTB’s performance on the Today Show. It’s their first in 15 years and they hit all the great classics from Right Stuff to Step by Step. (They did forget This One’s for the Children, so I have posted their 1989 Macy’s Day Parade rendition for you above. Smiles)
Part of me feels all nostalgic and wants to dance, call my girl friends to have a slumber party and bust out my old lunchobox featuring hottie numero uno, Jordan. Also-the rain adds a nice music video effect.
The other part of me, the louder part of me, wants to scream at them to stop because watching them struggle to remember how to sing and kicking the same choreography as in the days of old, makes me feel old. Super old.
For some reason this isn’t like watching the Stones or Police or some other band that you can remember listening to as a kid Maybe part of it has to do with the fact that they were already old? But then consider Madonna. She is still thriving!
Anyways, if this was some new group-the question right now would be, “Who are these aging homos?” or just “ha ha ha ha ha.” Instead it’s: “Should legends like NKOTB let their legacy speak for itself, or in this age in which current fame is the only currency, try and make a comeback?”

This is bad. This is just so so bad. Whatever happened to pre-recorded songs?
